Technical Brief with Dr. Barry Ruck May 30, 2012

Q: Are we increasing the potency of the PAK-ITs?

A: Potency is not the correct term as we are more so improving the performance. The products that will be looked at first are: Heavy-Duty Floor Cleaner, Laundry Detergent, Dish Detergent, and Glass & Hard Surface Cleaner.

Q: Will the PAKS be the same size after the performance features are improved?

A: Yes, they will be approximately the same size.

Q: Are there any standards or measurement for the coverage of floor cleaning PAKS per square foot, windows washed per quart, etc?

A: The method of cleaning, technique of cleaning, how soiled the area is, how wet the mop is, how often the water is changed, the size of the mop, and more all contribute to the effectiveness and how much product is needed. It is easy to tell the proper application for a specific amount of square footage with floor polishes but basically impossible for cleaners. In addition, less cleaning product and less effort is needed the more regular an area is cleaned. Should there be a need, we could work with companies to create a customized plan for their cleaning needs, especially highly controlled, sterilized places like hospitals, etc.

Q: Are there specific floor PAKS that work better on different floor surfaces?

A: Being that marble is the most chemically sensitive, the Neutral Floor Cleaner is recommended. As far as sealed wood floors, the Neutral Floor Cleaner is best unless it is very soiled, in that case Citrus All-Purpose Floor. One should stay away from Heavy-Duty Floor for wood floors. For high soiled, chemically resistant and commercial kitchen floor, Heavy-Duty Floor Cleaner is recommended.

Q: Is there a PAK that cleans blood stains or other soils more effectively?

A: There is not currently a PAK for blood stains however, it can be looked into.

Q: Knowing that we have documentation on third party testing of our products, how do they compare to nationally known competitors and bulk items?

A: Many of our products are very competitive, especially the Neutral Disinfectants, Citrus All-purpose Cleaner and Autumn Fresh Deodorizer. Bulk items like grill cleaner which have a high pH and high solvents will be more effective.

Big 3 Packaging was named to reinforce the three guiding principles of our business model.

People. Planet. Profit.

In an age of waste and excess, we believe that it is incumbent on us to be observant of the three pillars of all modern business.

Known as the triple bottom line (TBL), we strive to meet the needs of society with careful attention to our effect on the environment while achieving profitable growth. These are not isolated concepts in which one grows if another is de-emphasized. On the contrary — they are tightly integrated principles. In fact, several analyses have proven that companies with proper respect for our resources enhance profitability by ensuring a happy and healthy workforce and client base. At Big 3 Packaging, we know that sustainability is not just a fad; it is a true business imperative for companies of all sizes, and a benchmark of successful industries throughout the United States of America.

Many of our products are formulated to be environmentally-friendly. And we're constantly reinvesting to develop new innovative solutions that meet our TBL goals. Our PAK-IT® product line is safe for people, respectful of our natural resources and saves money and time, too. We think you'll love our products--all made in America, of course!
