An entrepreneur who already owned several business interests in Australia, Richard became CEO of Big 3 Packaging when he purchased DCL, Inc. and PAK-IT®, LLC. When introduced to DCL, Inc. he recognized the value in the brand and the spirit of innovation – both dating back over 4 decades. Upon being introduced to PAK-IT®, he immediately envisioned the broader application opportunities of the PAK-IT® technology in use. His lifelong concern for and dedication to the environment began in his youth, growing up on a farm in the Blue Mountains in rural Australia.
Upon graduating from University, Richard quickly ascended to roles carrying heightened accountability and immediately began creating value while running multiple enterprises in a variety of industries from finance to real estate to agriculture, and he continues to lead with his international value creation focus today. Just prior to assuming the helm at Big 3 Packaging, he held the role of Senior Managing Director of Money Markets, Foreign Exchange, and Emerging Market Derivatives at Tullett Prebon, where he had worked for 21 years in increasingly responsible roles. Richard is a Series 7 SEC/FINRA Registered Representative as well as a Series 24 Registered Principal, and has received awards of distinction from the American Management Association (AMA).
Richard is a Chief Executive who leads by example with an international perspective. He has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to successfully address and adapt to the most challenging of tasks in international settings such as Brazil, Mexico, Japan, Singapore, Great Britain, and Australia. His willingness to travel to the farthest reaches of the planet to find long term sustainable business ventures is well documented and serves as the perfect complement to his energy and skills, which have few boundaries. And now with Big 3 Packaging as his latest successful venture, Richard is particularly proud to be part of the manufacturing renaissance in the United States, helping put more and more Americans back to work.
